Accessibility Statement
Ramon Rios Jr. and Coqui Cloud are committed to ensuring that our websites, documentation, and enterprise web applications are accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor, speech, or cognitive disabilities.
1. Commitment to Universal Access (POUR Principles)
We believe that every user should have equal, barrier-free access to information, enterprise software, and digital infrastructure. Across ramonrios.net and coqui.cloud, we design and maintain our digital content so that it is Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR), following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
2. Standards & Regulatory Conformance
Our frontend views and interactive portals are engineered to align with the following federal, state, and international accessibility frameworks:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level A and Level AA conformance criteria.
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III & Title II: Non-discrimination and effective digital communication standards for public accommodations and municipal/public-sector interfaces.
- Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act: Federal electronic and information technology accessibility standards.
- Colorado HB21-1110 (OIT Accessibility Standards): State of Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) accessibility rules applicable to Colorado public entities and technology vendors.
3. Visual Contrast, Color Independence & Zoom
- High-Contrast Color Palette: Primary body copy (
#f8fafcand#cbd5e1) rendered against deep slate surfaces (#070a12and#0f172a) is calibrated to exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum4.5:1contrast ratio for normal text and3:1for large text and UI components, frequently achieving WCAG AAA (7:1+) legibility. - Independence from Color Alone: System status indicators (/status), form validation states, and security callouts pair color cues with explicit text labels and icons so meaning is never conveyed by color alone.
- 200% Zoom & Responsive Reflow: All pages support browser zoom up to
200%and responsive viewport scaling down to320pxCSS width without loss of content or functionality.
4. Keyboard Navigation, Headings & Screen Reader Support
- Full Keyboard Operability: Our website and interactive modules—including CoquiCal, CoquiAudit, CoquiCareer, and CoquiCards—can be navigated using a standard keyboard (
Tab,Shift+Tab,Enter,Space, and arrow keys), enabling users who cannot use a mouse or trackpad to access all core functionality without keyboard traps. - Clear Headings and Semantic Landmarks: We use semantic HTML5 landmarks (
,,,,) and a logical heading hierarchy (H1–H3) so assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, Apple VoiceOver, TalkBack) can index and jump between sections efficiently. - Alternative Text for Images: Meaningful images, badges, and interactive icons include descriptive alternative text (
altattributes) oraria-labeldescriptors so screen readers can convey visual content accurately. Decorative background elements are marked so they do not clutter screen-reader output.
5. Multimedia, Video Captions & Audio Transcripts
- Captions and Transcripts: Video walk-throughs and architectural briefings published in our Video Portfolio and technical blog include closed captions and/or written technical breakdowns on the accompanying page so users who are deaf or hard of hearing can access all technical content.
- No Uncontrolled Autoplay: Audio and video media do not auto-play with sound upon page load, preventing interference with screen-reader speech synthesis.
6. Clear Language & Cognitive Accessibility
- Structured Technical Prose: While many pages cover deep enterprise architecture, we organize complex concepts using bulleted summaries, comparison tables, and clear callout boxes to reduce cognitive load.
- Predictable Navigation & Form Labels: Every form input on /contactus, /book, and /helpdesk includes an explicit, persistent label and clear instructions if a required field is missing.
7. Accessible Documents, Resumes & PDFs
Where downloadable documents are provided—such as the Interactive Executive Resume and its ATS PDF Export, or digital Statements of Work (/proposals)—we provide both structured HTML web views and clean text-layer PDFs so assistive technology users can read them in their preferred format.
8. Known Limitations & Third-Party Content
While we work continuously to maintain full accessibility across every route, certain limitations may exist:
- Complex Topology & Schema Diagrams: Some engineering articles contain detailed network topology or database diagrams. Where an image's full detail exceeds a concise
altattribute, we provide structured text explanations in the surrounding article body. - Third-Party Websites & Embeds: Our website contains links to external third-party platforms (such as GitHub, YouTube, LinkedIn, or external client portals) that we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility implementation of external third-party domains.
9. Ongoing Efforts & Testing Methodology
Accessibility is an ongoing engineering process. Whenever new Odoo 20 modules, blog blueprints, or interactive widgets are deployed to ramonrios.net, we audit template markup for valid XML/HTML structure, heading hierarchy, color contrast ratios, and keyboard focus navigation.
